Planning a Pajama Party? Here’s How
Planning a pajama party? Here are some great girly ideas!
Every young girl loves to throw a pajama party or sleepover. It is a time to celebrate friendship, share secrets and laugh until your stomach hurts. And many of the memories made are treasured for years to come, well into adulthood. If your daughter is excited for her first pajama party and is hoping to throw a memorable, girly gathering here are some ideas you may want to try.
Purchase one really nice gift instead of multiple party favors. Then, award the present to the girl who has the nicest, neatest or most unique pair of PJs. Depending on the age of your daughters friends, you may want to have some small gifts on hand to avoid any upsets or arguments and give them for other prize-winning performances such as fuzziest slippers, cutest sleepy hair-do or cutest night-time teddy!
Another great idea for pajama party fun is to set up a candy and goodies bar. Simply collect bowls of different sizes and fill each one with a guest’s favorite treat. Then set up the bowls as a centerpiece in a dining room or in the room you plan to use for the party activities.
A pajama party is the perfect time to enjoy being a girl and go all out with favorite feminine festivities such as manicures, pedicures and other pampering spa treatments. Older girls, in their teens will love to be treated to a mani-pedi and will enjoy the mature atmosphere. If you would like to go all out for your daughters event consider hiring professionals to visit your home. If this is out of your budget, ask some of the guests moms to help, or even have some of your own friends drop by to play esthetician.
And finally, to make your pajama party a real hit with the guests choose a movie for inspiration and carry the theme throughout the night. For example, if you have some die hard Twilight fans on your hands serve red colored soda in be-jeweled goblets, and decorate your home with candles and red velvet for some vampire fun. Or, request that all of your guests come dressed as their favorite character before changing into their sleep attire.
Planning a pajama party is guaranteed to be fun and is a great opportunity for your daughter to enjoy her friends. But remember it can also be the perfect opportunity to bond with Mom!
